visible ≠ fleeting

People’s present identities are formed through encounters with others and experiences in their lives.

One memory of mine: There was a park that my grandfather used to take me to when I was little. The park is still there, but all the playground equipment I used to play on is gone.

Another memory I have is being about six years old and seeing the most beautiful sunset I’d seen in my life. I remember the sunset and its beauty, but I don’t remember where it was at all.

I remember playing with childhood friends every single day, but now I have no idea where they are or what they are doing.

But all these memories have accumulated over the passage of time and have made me who I am today.

This is an installation where you can momentarily “touch” memories before they disappear.

It is my hope that my own memories will conjure up the memories of those who interact with my artwork.
